The film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown's beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the "real world." When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life -- he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.

Halloween is an American slasher franchise that consists of eleven films, as well as novels, comic books, a video game and other merchandise. The films primarily focus on Michael Myers who was committed to a sanitarium as a child for the murder of his sister, Judith Myers. Fifteen years later, he escapes to stalk and kill the people of the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois. Michael's killings occur on the holiday of Halloween, on which all of the films primarily take place. The original Halloween, released in 1978, was written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, and directed by Carpenter. The film, inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Bob Clark's Black Christmas, is known to have inspired a long line of slasher films.

Drive-In Holiday Movie “ELF”

Bishop Tri-County Fairgrounds 1234 Sierra St, Bishop, CA

The holiday favorite movie “Elf,” will play on the big screen at the fairgrounds drive-in theater, December 11th. Gates open @ 5pm, Movie starts @ 6pm. Food, refreshments, popcorn and hot chocolate will be available. Admission to the movie will be free, thanks to sponsorship of Alta One Federal Credit Union.
